Goodwill is proud to be a part of the UP Recreation Camp (formerly known as the UP Sports Training Camp).  After a year hiatus, we have re-started the camp under a new name.  Nothing about the camp has changed, except that we now allow participants above the age of 26 to attend.  The purpose of the camp is to provide a five-day recreational camp experience for individuals with special needs in the UP.  There is no cost to the campers to attend.  Preference will be given to eligible campers who have previously attended the camp and know the expectations, but it is on a first come, first served basis.  Campers must be at least 14, and have been ineligible or unable to attend another summer camp due to their disability.

There will be sports, of course, and a wide variety of traditional social and recreational activities.  These will include, but are not limited to, hiking, arts and crafts, campfire activities, scavenger hunts, talent shows, etc.

This year’s camp is August 13-17, 2019, at Bay Cliff Health Camp, Big Bay, Michigan.  Many individuals and groups including Bay Cliff, NMU, Goodwill, and Marquette-Alger RESA are involved with camp.
